Out of the Mouth of My Children!

These are from my facebook status updates:

1/24/10

hmmm, I just asked Jerry to do something for me and he thanked me, lol!

1/24/10

Mariah's baby doll is sitting in the real baby highchair and Mariah gave her baby a real sports bottle of water which apparently the baby doll spilled. Mariah said, "See I told you all she was alive!!!" lol the evidence is pretty convincing!

1-10-10

lol, Mariah just said, "I don't even have any money! I just have one credit card! and I can't buy much stuff with one little credit card!!!" She was referring to her $5 gift card.

1-4-10

I was surprised to see a sad face on the reindeer Mariah made at school. I asked her why it was sad and she said, "because the other reindeer laughed at him and wouldn't let him play games with them" :)

12-31-09

Mariah just came inside, I asked her what she was doing out there all this time and she replied, "searching for snow to shovel!" LOL kids are too funny

11-19-09

In school today for his writing assignment, Jerry had to write what the faces looked like(happy, mad, sad, etc...) for the one that was "shocked" he said, "Mom I don't know what this one is...Freaked Out!?!" It gave me a chuckle, lol :)

11-16-09

I have ripped out all of the answer keys in my kid's school books after Jerry wrote, "Answers will" (Answers will vary) instead of writing the city in which he lives!

 10-27-09

I think Jerry is so sweet! Mariah asked me how I had 3 kids, and Jerry replied, "Probably God likes mom so much that he did this, gave her a present and that was us three kids." :-)

10-19-09

Awwww, Mariah just said, "Momma, I love you from the bottom of my heart." ♥ :)

10-18-09

Jerry said, "You know what I don't like mom?! You always go shopping and you never get the stuff you need!" He wants bananas, which I haven't been able to get at the last 3 stores I've been to with him. He'll be happy when I bring them home today :)

11 ~Sarah's Savvy Savings~

Do you and your children have to do a sock search on your way out the door?

When my children were young, I became very frustrated when we would be ready to leave but no one could find their socks or they would go to get their socks and get "lost" on the way back to the door! So I found a plastic rubbermaid type bin that had 3 drawers. I put it by the front door and each child has one drawer for his/her socks! Now when it's time to leave nobody has any excuses to go back to their bedroom. Everyone, including the socks are right were they need to be. Everyone can have their socks and shoes on and be out the door  within minutes :)

I'm Back!

Sorry it's been so long since I've written! I had to take a break over the Summer.
A lot has happened since I last posted anything. My divorce was just finalized last week, August 27th.
And baby Josiah's adoption became finalized the next day! (I will post more on this soon)
I have made the decision to homeschool my children. I already began over the Summer and it's been going really well! Zach is reading great and Jerry is well on his way. Mariah is learning her letter sounds and loves to work on "school"!
My sister who is very sick with her pregnancy moved in a few weeks ago with her 13 month old son. She is 20 weeks pregnant and very excited to find out if her Little One will be a boy or girl this Friday :-)

We have a new addition to the family! His name is Tyger. He is a 9 month old Chihuahua. I never dreamed I would own a Chihuahua but have thoroughly fallen in love with him.
Hope everyone's Summer went well! I'd love to hear stories from your Summer. Post them in the comment section under this post! Look forward to hearing from you.
